Great Ampong has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged Daddy Lumba to a game of his own, so the ongoing battle between the famous artists won't be over any time soon.
Great Ampong paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, at the police headquarters in Accra.
Ever since Daddy Lumba was recently photographed with the IGP, Ghanaians have been interpreting meanings beyond what appeared to be a cordial visit.
Since 2017, the two have been at loggerheads over a music deal that went bad.
They have been watching each other's movements and responding with counter-punches whenever possible.
Daddy Lumba sees his opponent as nothing more than an 'ofonn' (simpleton), but Great Ampong calls him a 'sisifuo' (cheat).
For this reason, Ghanaians believe that Great Ampong's visit is an attempt to humiliate Daddy Lumba, who is seeking legal means to end their conflict.
Ampong was photographed grinning from ear to ear while interacting with Mr Dampare. He was accompanied by fellow musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong.
Others claim the IGP urged both parties to settle the financial dispute.
