I have an incredible story to share about how I met my husband, which ultimately led to a beautiful marriage that has lasted for over two years. It all began during my time in the NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) program when I was already in a committed relationship with someone else.

It was during a short visit home that fate intervened and brought us together. One day, I received a phone call from a guy asking if I was at home. Confirming that I was, I inquired if he knew where I lived, but he remained silent. Surprisingly, a few minutes later, he called again, informing me that he was waiting outside my gate. I stepped out, assuming he wanted to purchase a bracelet (yes, I have a curious business spirit!). However, to my surprise, the first words out of his mouth were, "I like you." I was taken aback, thinking to myself, "Wow, this guy is bold!"

Every day, he would pick me up and take me to his store. I started providing him with suggestions on how he could improve his business, and he attentively listened to my advice. Eventually, my relationship with my previous boyfriend reached a breaking point, opening the door for something new to blossom.

Before I knew it, I found myself developing deep feelings for this man. I can't recall the exact moment I said "yes" to him, but it felt inevitable that we couldn't be without each other.

As night fell, he suggested that we go on a dinner date with his friends and brother on a yacht. Little did I know that he had a grander plan in mind. During that memorable evening, he proposed to me, and without hesitation, I said "yes." It was November 24, 2021, the day I accepted his proposal and began a new chapter of my life.

Not only did he capture my heart, but he also had some valuable advice for me. He encouraged me to start selling bridal shoes, purses, casual slippers, and handbags. Recognizing his wisdom, I followed his guidance and started my own business.
