Chairman Wontumi congratulates Gabby for sharing an old post, saying that honesty is not for "cheap" people.
A post by Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko detailing how devoted the ‘Chairman’ has been to President Akufo-Addo received a jubilant response from Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP.

The tweet, which was originally published on February 15, 2014, shows how steadfast Chairman Wontumi has remained in the camp of President Akufo-Addo.
Chairman Wontumi responded to the tweet as soon as he saw it, writing: “I have been loyal to President Nana Akufo-Addo since I won and became a Regional Chairman. Loyalty and honesty is not for cheap people. Thank you Gabby”.
Candidate Akufo-Addo won the 2016 presidential election with 1,646,949 votes or 76.27% of the total votes cast in the Ashanti Region under the leadership of Chairman Wontumi.
The NPP was then led by Chairman Wontumi to secure 1,793,773 votes in 2020, representing 71.64% of the total votes cast in the Ashanti Region to support President Akufo-Addo to retain power.
