The incident involved a BMW saloon car that was traveling towards Techiman and a tipper truck from Sunyani that collided with the BMW at Nkenkaasu.
Witnesses present at the scene reported that the tipper truck had deviated from its designated lane and crashed into the BMW. Unfortunately, the driver of the BMW and two other passengers lost their lives immediately, while the driver of the tipper truck suffered severe injuries.
Ghana National Fire Service personnel promptly arrived to assist with extrication and to restore the flow of traffic. The police at Akumadan have confirmed the three fatalities, and the bodies have been taken to the Nkenkaasu Government Hospital morgue, where an autopsy will be conducted.
