Enwell Sitima, who is 45 years old, was picked up by Norton police in connection with a murder that happened last Friday at Ardbedeen Farm Compound.
Sitima is said to have hit his 34-year-old wife Melody Kavipa on the neck and back with a hoe after accusing her of cheating.
Kavipa died right there, so Sitima wrapped the body in a blanket and put it under the bed.
Police in Shurugwi are also looking into the murder of Vasco Masara, who was 31 years old, on Saturday at Nduku Compound. Two suspects, Tadiwa Chirimuuta and Dingo Gombe, attacked him with a knife and an axe after an argument about a radio.
