How A Woman Discovered Daughter 20 Years After She Was Stolen At Birth In Hospital

A family from Enugu has come forward to talk about how they found their twin daughter 20 years after she was taken from them at birth (unknowing to them).

Professor Michael Okwudili and his wife Gloria are both from Ogbunike in the Oyi local government area of Anambra State. If luck hadn't been on their side twenty years later, they would have never thought they had twins. Twenty years ago, when a couple had a son named Nzubechukwu (Godswill), they had no idea he had a twin.

What really went down?

The Okwudilis were hurt by child trafficking, a crime that has been going on for a long time and is still going on today. Even though the Okwudilis were wealthy, they were not spared when they became victims.

Michael Okwudili, a professor of educational planning and the Rector/Provost of Our Saviour Institute of Science, Agricultural and Technology/ College of Education, didn't find out that his wife had twins in 2002 until 20 years later.

People in her church had always called her mama ijima, which means "mother of twins." However, neither she nor her husband knew she was expecting twins.

Juliet Agulanna, the female twin, was probably stolen by Doctor Oguannua, the owner of the now-closed Madonna Infirmary Hospital, when she was born and sold to Mrs. Chidimma Mariatha Agulanna with the help of his nurses on July 18, 2002, when her mother gave birth to her.

How Juliet was found out

Juliet, who is now a student at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ebonyi, went to a shop in Thinkers Corner, Enugu, by some miracle to learn how to do hair. The store was only a few steps from her home. The shop was rented to her trainer (madam) by her real parents, so that one choice would eventually change her life.

Her real mother, who owned the building, also had a shop right next to where Juliet was learning how to do hair. Soon after that, people who went to the shops started asking Julie, as she was called, if she was the daughter of the woman whose shop was next to hers. Because Mrs. Gloria and Juliet look so much alike, the same person asked her if she was Juliet's mother.

As the questions kept coming, Julie is said to have found a way to do a DNA test to stop the embarrassing questions. When the DNA test was over, everyone was shocked to see that the result was 99.9996% positive, meaning that she is the daughter of the Okwudilis.

Mrs. Gloria told how she found out she had a daughter. She said that in March 2021, she rented out one of her three shops to a woman. But three months later, a girl asked her about the woman, asking if she was good at doing hair or not. She said she wanted to know because she wanted to learn how to do hair from the salon's owner.
