The sad event happened on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in Gombe village, which is in the Siaya county of Kenya.

Reports say that the wild dogs had been left alone when they attacked the boy and ate him to death while his friend watched helplessly.

West Migwena Assistant Chief Benard Nyerere told tuko.co.ke that the incident happened and that the person who died was with the son of a neighbor before it did.

He said that when the dogs attacked the child, the dogs' owner's son just stood there and did nothing to help his friend.

It is also said that the dead man's parents started to worry when the neighbor's son, who they knew had gone out with the dead man, came home alone without him.

Then they went looking for him and found his body near a stream.

Police are said to be looking into what happened, and the body has been taken to the Bondo Sub-County Hospital Mortuary.

In an earlier story, a 3-year-old girl died after her 25-year-old father beat her badly for going into a neighbor's room.

The Delta State police in Nigeria arrested Godsgift Uweghwerhen, a young father, to help with an investigation.

The heinous crime is said to have been done by the suspect in the community of Aladja in the Udu Local Government Area of the state.

"It was thought that Uweghwerhen was at home with his family and neighbors when he saw his daughter come out of the room of one of his neighbors.

"Because he didn't like what his daughter had done, Uweghwerhen, who got angry as soon as he saw her, jumped on her and beat her with a cane, hurting her body.

"However, it was said that the beating killed the 3-year-old girl, and when the man realized what he had done, he ran away from the scene.

"The victim's father ran out of luck when vigilantes arrested him in the Ubogo community and turned him over to police in the Ovwian/Aladja Division," reports pulse.ng.

DSP Bright Edafe, who is in charge of public relations for the Delta Police, said that the suspect would be charged in court once the investigation was over.
