Reports say that love, the second wife of businessman Abdullah Steve Dagana, stabbed him to death on Sunday in the state of Edo. The story says that Dagana went to see his first wife, who was supposedly living somewhere else.
His friends and family told him over the phone that his second wife had moved in with a new man.
There were rumors that Dagana had set up his wife to see if these claims were true.
He thought that his second wife would invite a new man over the previous Saturday, so he pretended to go see his first wife like usual.
When his second wife brought home another man, he found out what had happened. But he didn't go down right away. Instead, he waited until after midnight, and when he did, around 3 a.m., he found his second wife in bed with another man.
They say that after they fought, she stabbed the man in the chest, killing him instantly.
She let her boyfriend out by opening the door, and then she started yelling "thief, thief" to the neighbors. Before she could act like the victim, they caught her and told her that it was all a clever trick.
They saw the man run out of the house and knew he was her boyfriend. They supposedly tried to lynch someone.
