Aisha Huang is currently on trial in Ghana for illegal mining.
The sixth prosecution witness in the trial of Aisha Huang stated during his testimony that he sold his farmland along the Offin River to the accused for mining.
The witness, Peter Amenya, told the court led by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Yvonne Atakora Obuobisa, that Aisha Huang had contacted him and his brother-in-law through James Ogbey to buy the farmland for her mining company.
In his main witness statement read in court yesterday, he said: "Aisha then sent a surveyor, whose name I do not know, accompanied by James Ogbey to my farm to take measurements of the area.
Ms Huang is accused of carrying on a mining business without a licence, encouraging others to engage in mining, employing foreigners without a licence and entering Ghana despite being banned from doing so.
According to the witness, Mr Ogbey called the accused after agreeing on a price and informed her of the size of the land and the price.
