Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, who is the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region, has declared that he will never communicate with Ghana's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo again.
Abronye DC claims that throughout Akufo-Addo's administration, he has been treated unfairly, and therefore, he has decided to sever ties with the President. Abronye DC's last straw came when he applied for the vacant position at the Electoral Commission, but the President refused to appoint him, citing that he did not want to appoint a known party member.
According to Abronye, Ghana's constitution does not prohibit members of the NPP, NDC, CPP, or any political party from being appointed to the Electoral Commission, as long as they are Ghanaians.
The NDC also made similar appointments during their tenure, appointing Hajia Sadatu Maida, who was the daughter of a prominent NDC member, but Abronye's application was rejected because he is a known NPP member.
Abronye claims that he would have been a great fit for the position, given his experience with elections in Ghana, and he is saddened by the President's decision not to appoint him. As a result, he has vowed never to speak to Nana Addo again until he leaves power.
