It seems that the Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako (aka Chairman Wontumi), has discovered why according to a publication by Wontumi Online.
According to Wontumionline.com, the former President has requested that his running mate stay away from his campaign team and has stated that he "can no longer work with her."
Chairman Wontumi claims to have reliable information that Mr. Mahama plans to replace Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate for the 2024 presidential elections.
I am reliably informed that John Mahama has planned to change his running mate for the 2024 presidential elections. He has told Naana that I can’t work with you and for days now she has been crying, Chairman Wontumi said.
This news has left her feeling upset, and she has been crying for days. This issue is expected to deepen the NDC's woes, and it could lead to staunch supporters of Prof. Opoku-Agyamang punishing the party if she is ditched.
