I have said before that Tiger Eye PI is a terrorist group – Kwesi Nyantakyi

Former president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has expressed delight at the decision of the Accra High Court to dismiss the 25 million Ghana cedi suit filed by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas against politician Kennedy Agyapong.

Justice Eric Baah claimed that Anas Aremeyaw Anas had failed to prove that Ken Agyapong had defamed him by showing the documentary 'Who watches the watchman? Instead, the documentary exposed dubious transactions involving Anas and his friends.

In 2018, Anas sued the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for defamation, seeking GHC25 million in damages for the false information Agyapong published about him.

The court concluded that Anas' work was not investigative journalism but investigative terrorism and that Agyapong had the right to describe Anas as "blackmailer, corrupt, extortionist and vile".

Kwesi Nyantakyi, who was given a life ban from football in 2018 as a result of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Number 12 documentary, but eventually had it reduced to 15 years, was honoured by Kennedy Agyapong after the ruling.

Nyantakyi, in an interview with Accra-based Oman FM, praised the court's verdict, saying it proved Anas Aremeyaw Anas' guilt.

According to him, the judgement of the Supreme Court proves that Anas Aremeyaw Anas is not honest; rather, the court has classified him as an extortionist and blackmailer.

Instead of an investigative journalist, the judge also described his role as an investigative terrorist. I've said before that Tiger Eye PI is a terrorist organisation.

What is the point of blackmailing someone when we are all educated in our own fields, such as journalism, law, engineering and medicine, among others? Why ask for money first instead of going out and publishing the deeds directly if the guy has really committed a crime?

But the court has finally exposed him. He got nothing but shame. He used to think he was an angel, but I'm not even sure he's descended to the level of the devil yet. He is a disgusting individual.

Following the broadcast of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' investigative documentary, Kwesi Nyantakyi was forced to resign from all his football-related posts, including vice-president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and member of the FIFA Executive Committee.
