I never attacked Asantes during my campaign - Mahama

Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama has strongly refuted claims that he made negative comments about the Asante people during his recent campaign in the Eastern Region.
The media has reported that he made disparaging remarks about the people in the Ashanti Region, but this is entirely false. Mr. Mahama did not make any such statement, either during his campaign rounds or in an interview with UTV. The John Mahama Campaign has identified the fake quote attributed to the former President, and he remains committed to his campaign, "Building the Ghana we want Together."
Mr. Mahama will not allow such baseless allegations to distract him from his mission, and his team has urged the public to disregard such propaganda.
