He told Johnnie Hughes on 3FM's Sunrise Morning Show on 8 February 2023 that he will never again accept the position of deputy minister now that he knows how it limits the scope and performance of the person who holds it.
"I will never agree to be deputy minister again. I made a mistake when I took the job and I won't do it again. "I haven't had a chance to show my abilities," he said.
The lawmaker, who used to be the CEO of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, said even though he hasn't been appointed Trade Minister, he will do whatever he can to help the government make changes that are better for Ghana.
His statement comes after the Speaker told Parliament on Tuesday 7 February 2023 that there would be a change of ministers.
