I was sabotaged for not billing any Northern artiste – Sista Afia on Tamale concert flop

Sista Afia believes her Queen Solomon concert at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale was a failure because none of the artistes were from the Northern Region. She said some people are deliberately making it difficult for her to have a successful show in the North.

Medikal, Kwame Yogot, Mr Drew, Sefa, Lasmid, Ataaka, Wiz Child, Fadlan, LilWin and many other top musicians performed at the Queen Solomon concert in Tamale.

"The whole show went wrong because Fancy and another artist weren't on the bill. So they just kept pulling out the plugs. As soon as I went on stage, they pulled the plug and all the lights went out. Even before I went on stage, they were still doing it.”

Reports from the concert indicated that not many people turned up and that the technical support was poor.

Sista Afia told 3Music that after taking over Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast, she decided to take over the northern sector. She also said that they did everything they needed to do to have a successful concert, but it didn't bring in as much money as they had hoped.

Sista Afia said she tried to get Macassio and Fancy Gadam to come but they didn't.

"We did everything we could. We went to the ball and we met the chiefs, right? We did everything you're supposed to do in Tamale.”

She added: "We talked to Fancy. I talked to both of them. Then he (Fancy) told me how much I had to pay and we talked about it. And just when I was about to pay, he stopped responding to my text messages.”
