Despite eyewitnesses expecting to find dismembered bodies, no lives were lost. In a Facebook post on April 23, Richmond gave a detailed account of the incident, stating that they were all safe and had sought medical attention to check for any internal injuries.
Richmond emphasized that their safety was solely due to the intervention of God, as they were on a mission to preach the Gospel.
He ended his post by thanking Jesus for their deliverance and declaring that they will continue to preach the Gospel.
