It's A Sin To Build Multi-billion Dollars Church When People Are Hungry- Rev. Fr.

The Catholic Archdiocese in Abuja, Nigeria is led by Rev. Fr. Oluoma Chinenye John, a gifted individual who excels as a musician, teacher, counselor, and preacher.

In a heartfelt address on his verified Facebook page and through a released video, the priest raised an important question to his audience. He pondered why the wealthiest churches seem unable to address issues that the simplest of churches have already solved. According to him, the answer lies in selfishness and greed, as their actions reflect their worldly desires.

Drawing upon historical examples, he pointed out that in ancient times, the largest place of worship in Israel was a single Temple. There were only a few additional smaller church structures such as cathedrals and synagogues. This led the clergyman to question the prevalent competition in building grandiose churches in the present day.

Instead of engaging in such rivalries, he suggested redirecting financial resources towards charitable endeavors. Some individuals may believe that contributing to church projects or buildings will bring them prosperity, but the priest emphasized that this is not how God's blessings work. He asserted that when the time comes, God will not ask about the number of churches one built, but rather how many lives one has positively impacted.

Furthermore, the clergyman expressed his concern about the construction of extravagant and luxurious churches in a country like Nigeria, where hunger, unemployment, and poverty are widespread. To him, it is sinful to invest billions in building magnificent churches while the people suffer. His message to all was simple yet powerful: let us begin to prioritize helping others.

In conclusion, Rev. Fr. Oluoma Chinenye John advocates for a shift in focus from extravagant church buildings to acts of charity and assistance to those in need. By highlighting the importance of impacting lives positively and addressing societal issues, he urges individuals and churches to channel their resources towards making a tangible difference in the world.
