It's Impossible! Kyebi Residents Debunk Claims of Illegal Mining at President's House

Thu, 27 Apr 2023 Source: Club Mate

The Kyebi Traditional Council has dismissed the "Frimpong-Boateng report" as propaganda aimed at sullying the president's reputation.

According to the leaked report, illegal mining activities near President Akufo-Addo's private residence in Kyebi have damaged parts of his garden. However, some residents of Kyebi have refuted these claims, stating that it is practically impossible for anyone to carry out mining operations around the president's house, given the security detail from the Ghana Armed Forces, the police, and the Ghana Immigration Service that have been stationed there since the president assumed office.

They also pointed out that the president's house is located in the heart of the town, making it difficult for such activities to occur undetected. Some residents believe that Professor Frimpong-Boateng's report is false and motivated by his disappointment at not being reappointed to his position.

They also highlighted that there is no evidence of any bulldozer or excavator reclaiming any land around the president's house.
