Jobseekers stranded at Airport City as recruitment company does not exist

People looking for work were stuck at Stanbic Heights in Airport City when they found out that a company that had promised them work did not exist.

On social media, a company called End Hunger Africa reached out to these desperate job seekers and told them they would get paid a lot of money.

In fact, one of the jobs was paying a SHS graduate who was ready to work as a Project Manager a whopping $1,300.

They were told where to go to get their appointment letters, but when they got there, they found that the company had never been there.

The owners and managers of Stanbic Heights were shocked when all of these people showed up at their building hoping to get good jobs.

A report says that the fake jobs cost the job seekers GHC12,000.

Even though we told them it was a scam, they went through with it because they thought they would get appointment letters. Who in the world would pay a high school graduate $1300 to be an operations officer? There were many red flags, but, as usual, Ghanaians didn't pay attention to them. Some didn't know, but they will next time.
