John Mahama’s Gov’t Collapsed 72 Banks, Refused to Pay Pensioners- Economist

Eric Kyei Baffour, an economist, has put the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a bad light by talking about how their terrible economic record caused 72 local banks to fail.

Mr. Kyei Baffour said on Wontumi, which was watched by Wontumionline, that pensioners were denied their investments while former President John Dramani Mahama was in charge. He thinks it's disgusting that members of the NDC now criticize the ruling government over the domestic debt exchange program.

“Under your watch you never paid monies to pensioners and today you have the moral right to say you want to go on nationwide tour?… For 72 months, you didn’t pay moneys meant for pensioners”.

He continued that “72 banks collapsed under Mahama…When NDC comes to power, the brains sleep, they don’t have anything to move the economy.”
