Dr Amakye Boateng says Ken Agyapong will never be president.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the aspiring flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has come under fire from renowned political scientist Dr Amakye Boateng of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for his presidential ambition.
According to the political scientist, Kennedy Agyapong cannot be the nation's First Gentleman because he lacks the basic qualifications and talents for the position as required by Ghana's cultural and moral standards.
Dr Amakye Boateng discussed politics on Akoma FM's evening political programme, GhanAkoma, on Tuesday, March 14.
Kennedy Agyapong must set aside his presidential aspirations because he is not qualified to be president, he told the show's host, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, as they discussed the basic characteristics of people Ghanaians should vote for to reform the nation.
“He has sent all his children to school and live outside and he is here campaigning to be president,” he said.
He also lacks the moral authority to be president because he is known to have made offensive remarks about women and people in authority, even members of his own government. So he's not serious at all. He should drop out of the presidential race.
Dr Amakye Boateng also advised Ghanaians to support a candidate who has the political will and a solid game plan to reverse the current economic challenges facing the country.
