When elected president of Ghana, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) plans to replicate the development strategy of one of the world's most popular cities, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to Ghanaian actor and musician Alex Kofi Adu, better known by his stage name Agya Koo.
We have confidence in his ability. He is bringing a team to develop the nation in the same way as Dubai. He has the same vision as the ruler of Dubai, Agya Koo claimed in an interview with Angel FM Kumasi.
Agya Koo claims he would never deceive the electorate into supporting a candidate for office if he had any doubts about the candidate's ability to deliver on his campaign promises.
The actor went on to explain that he supported then candidate Akufo-Addo in 2016 because of his promise to provide free senior high school education, and that the President has kept his word by implementing the flagship initiative to the benefit of many.
He pleaded with NPP members to elect him, saying, "I have come again this time that Kenendy Ohene Agyapong is the only one to lead for 2024.”
"All delegates from across the country who are listening to me, I'm begging you, this is the moment, this is the opportunity; you should know that Kennedy Agyapong is coming to put smiles on everybody's faces.” Agya Koo pleaded, "Please, I am begging you, please bring Kennedy Agyapong to lead the party.”
