According to renowned radio broadcaster, Gordon Asare-Bediako, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr is a "wiser" and significant figure in politics when compared to Prof. Frimpong-Boateng. Asare-Bediako revealed that Prof.
Frimpong-Boateng's negative feelings towards Kweku Baako started in 2007 when Kweku Baako asked him to step aside and focus on his work as a doctor, during the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) preparations for their presidential primaries.
Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng was one of the 17 aspirants who contested the party's flag-bearer primaries in 2007, which was eventually won by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Based on this, Asare-Bediako believes that the votes Prof. Frimpong-Boateng received vindicates that Kweku Baako is politically more astute than him.
