Anndel Taylor, who was 22 years old, was driving home from work in Buffalo, New York, over the weekend when she got stuck in her car. She sent a video to her family before she died in the harsh conditions.

Before she died, a young woman who had been stuck in her car for 18 hours during a snowstorm sent her family a scary video.

The storm has killed more than 50 people and is being called one of the worst weather disasters to ever hit the US.

Rescue teams have been looking for cars buried in snow drifts in Buffalo, New York, because drivers ignored warnings to stay off the roads as the weather got worse.

Rescue workers found Anndel Taylor, who was 22 years old, dead in her car.

Her family said they thought she died because the fumes made her sick with carbon monoxide, not because it was so cold.

She sent a video of her car stuck in the snow before she died.

Shawnequa Brown, her sister, told NEWS, "I don't know if any of us really knew how serious it was, because we didn't watch the news and didn't really know what was going on in Buffalo.

She told my sister that she was afraid.

After the terrible thing happened, she started a fundraiser to help pay for her funeral. So far, it has raised more than £15,000.

She wrote on the site, "As you may know, our sister, your friend, died in a blizzard in Buffalo, New York, on December 23 and 24 by accident.

"She was stuck in her car for hours or days, so the snow kept piling up on it, making it impossible for her to get out. We're trying to put Services together so that we can say our last goodbyes.

"We really need your emotional and financial help to finish the job at hand, and it's with a heavy heart that we ask you all to help us.

"Anything you can do to help us will be very much appreciated. Let us do the right thing for her now that she has died too soon."

As several inches of snow fell in the worst-affected areas, tens of millions of people took shelter from the weather.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul had said earlier, "This is a war with mother nature, and she has been hitting us with everything she has."

"It's like going to a war zone, and the cars on the side of the roads are shocking."
