Maurice Ampaw, a well-known lawyer, has advised former President John Mahama to reduce the number of jokes he shares on his campaign trail because jokes alone cannot win elections.
Ampaw believes that Mahama's excessive use of humor may make it difficult for him to be taken seriously as a candidate in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections. In an interview with Wontumi TV, Ampaw expressed his concern that Mahama's jokes are becoming the main focus of his campaign instead of his policies and ideas.
He also questioned the relevance of talking about tea on a campaign trail. Despite Mahama's previous electoral defeats, Ampaw believes that the former President must remain focused and present a serious image to the public in order to have a chance of winning in 2024.
