Mercy Johnson, a Nollywood actress, went with her husband, Prince Okojie, to Edo state to help him campaign.
Okojie is running for the federal seat of Esan north-east/south-east under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
On Wednesday, the actress shared a video from their community campaign event on her Instagram page.
In the video, Okojie is seen talking to the older people in the village. He also talked about why he wanted to be in the House of Representatives.
"I'm in politics because I think it should be a way to help people and the community," he said.
"My goal in running for the House of Representatives is to improve my community and give the people who live there more power."
In a caption that went with the picture, the actress thanked fans for their love and support and asked them to vote for her husband.
She wrote, "His message is clear: he is the difference."
"As usual, there was a lot of love and support. The goal is the House of Representatives, and Abuja Direct is where we want to go."
In May of 2022, Okojie won the APC ticket.
