The People's National Convention (PNC) has expressed their heartfelt sympathies to Dr Edward Nasigre Mahama, who is the longest-serving leader, following the loss of his son. Dr Mahama's son, who was a naval officer, passed away on Tuesday, May 2.
The PNC stated that they understand that no words can take away the pain that Dr Mahama and his family are going through, but they offer their condolences and support during this difficult time. They also quoted a passage from the Bible, stating that everything happens for a reason, and they hope that God will provide comfort and healing to Dr Mahama's family.
The funeral arrangements for Ishmael Mahama will be announced in due course. Dr Mahama has led the PNC in five presidential elections in the Fourth Republic, and his party concluded their statement by once again offering their deepest condolences to him and his family.
