According to Citi News' Central Regional Correspondent Calvis Tetteh, Kofi Armah's virtually lifeless body was discovered unconscious along the Awutu Bereku section of the Accra-Cape Coast highway.
What could have caused the victim to be attacked in this manner is still a mystery.
Robert Odartey, a Member of Parliament for the Awutu Bereku constituency, told Citi News that the victim was being treated at the Winneba Trauma and Specialty Hospital and was in a critical condition.
However, the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
