A MAN'S body was found in a pool of his own blood. His pet boar had cut him up.
Amnuay Suriwong, who was 68 years old, took the wild boar in as a pet, but the animal turned on him and killed him.
Amnuway Suriwong took in the wild animal because he was lonely and lived alone.
On November 24, neighbors in the Thai province of Kamphaeng Phet found Amnuay dead in his home.
Amnuay asked for help from his neighbors when the boar went crazy while he was trying to get it back into its pen.
He called for help and then laid down on a bamboo bench in his backyard, where he died before paramedics could help him.
The boar stabbed him in the inner thigh, leaving him with two wounds that caused him to bleed to death.
Neighbors went looking for the pet boar and killed it with a gun so that nothing else bad would happen.
Durian Suriwong, Amnuay's 54-year-old brother-in-law, said that he bought the boar to keep him company since he lived alone.
"In the afternoons, he would let it roam around and graze, and then he would put it back in its pen," she told local media.
The pet got so big that it weighed 120 kilograms and had two big tusks that would later kill his owner.
