Man Lynched For Allegedly Murdering ‘Okada’ Rider He Hired

A man who was thought to have killed a fellow 'okada' rider at Asiri in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region has been lynched.

So far, the information we have shows that the suspect hired the "okada" rider to take him to a nearby town. On the way, though, he stabbed the rider and took off on his motorcycle.

Another rider going the other way saw what happened and went to an information center in a nearby village to report it.

The youths caught the suspect and beat him up pretty badly before the district's police commander came and saved him.

But the commander had the same thing happen to him: his Toyota Corolla was damaged before the angry teenager grabbed the suspect back.

The suspect was taken to the office of the Assembly Member for the area, where he denied having done anything wrong.

While people tried to find out if what he said was true, the suspect ran into the bushes, but he was caught soon after.

Charles Okyere Bediako, a representative for Jaman North, said that residents hit the suspect with rocks and stabbed him multiple times, which killed him.
