The alleged kidnapping of two children has led to the lynching of a 28-year-old man in Adiembra in the Adansi Asokwa District of the Ashanti Region.
Isaac Bans, a quiet welder, was playing with other children on Saturday when he was attacked, according to a relative, Eric Addo.
According to Isaac K. Normanyo of Adom News, who described the events, the mother of the children accused him of being a thief when she saw him with them.
As soon as neighbours in the area heard this loud cry, they started attacking him.
Mr Normanyo alleges that the perpetrators beat the victim with blades and other sharp objects.
He claimed that after the assault, Isaac Bans was taken to a local mechanic's shop and dirt oil was poured in his nose until he passed out.
Police subsequently arrested 10 people, including the group's leader, Solonko, and a woman.
