Recently, a man killed himself after he was accused of killing his wife and three children.
Edward Chirombe, 43, is said to have killed his wife, Joice Mashenu, and their two children. His family has confirmed this.
Chirombe is said to have hit his wife, his 14-year-old daughter, his 8-year-old daughter, and his 12-year-old son with an unknown object.
"He killed his wife and three children and spent the night with their bodies. After the event, we went to see him, but he wouldn't let us into his house. "We are all shocked," Nicholas Chirombe, Edward's older brother, said.
Yesterday, the body of Edward was found in a hilly area of Ngaasekwe Mugomba Village, which is run by Chief Hata.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, a spokesman for the national police, confirmed the incident and said that police are currently looking into what led to the deaths.
"Police are looking into a claim that Edward Chirombe killed his wife and three children before killing himself at Ngaasekwe Mugomba Village in Nyanga.
"The police found the bodies after a family member told them about it. They were found in a shack and a house with flat rooms. We are now looking into what led up to this horrible murder and why it happened, he said.
