In a dramatic event, a man stormed into his wife's workplace and beat her up, supposedly because she had hidden her payslip from him.

The thing happened at Thekwane High School in Plumtree, which is in the province of Matabeleland South.

Thembelani Kunene, who works at the school as a bookkeeper, was recently embarrassed when her husband Khumbulani Kunene showed up at her job and went crazy.

He hit her in front of the teachers and other students. She tried to get away, but her husband caught her and beat her up.

Khumbulani was all over his wife, who was also bleeding heavily, and one of the senior teachers had to step in to stop him.

Khumbulani allegedly also said he would kill her.

After her husband made her feel bad, Thembelani went to court and asked for a protection order against him.

"I want my husband Khumbulani Kunene to be put under a protection order. Every time we fight, he hits me and calls me names, which hurts me emotionally.

"On Tuesday of last week, he came to my job and insulted me before attacking me physically in front of my coworkers and students. "He cursed and said he would kill me," part of her affidavit says.

Thembelani said that her husband also called her names, which was also making her feel bad emotionally and mentally.

Khumbulani didn't show up to court, so the judge, Jeconia Prince Ncube, gave Thembelani a temporary protection order.

Khumbulani was told he couldn't hurt his wife physically, emotionally, or verbally. He was also told he couldn't threaten to kill her.
