Amidst the brutality of the Ghana Armed Forces, Kpone Katamanso Member of Parliament (MP) Joseph Akuerteh Tettey alleged that some of his constituents were forced to consume cow dung according a publication by Adom News.

He claimed that although the residents of Ashaiman received most of the attention and media coverage, many of his constituents also experienced difficult circumstances, with some forced to consume abattoir effluent.

But Mr Tettey, popularly known as Joe T, in an interview with Adom News, revealed that the victims were yet to produce any supporting documents.

"If you are familiar with this place, some of these activities will shock you. They were also forced to ingest cattle faeces, which had a psychological effect on them,” he alleged.

During an 'intelligence-led operation', members of the Ghana Armed Forces attacked some residents of Ashaiman.

The operation, which was aimed at finding those responsible for the killing of a military officer on 4 March, also resulted in the forceful arrest and assault of some residents.

But the lawmaker claims her constituents need counselling because they have been traumatised.

Meanwhile, another Ashaiman MP, Ernest Norgbey, and some assembly members are preparing to sue the GAF for the injustice they perpetrated on some assembly members on 7 March.

Mr Norgbey claimed that he had spoken to a legal team to address the issue that is currently in the news.
