My Father Has Outperformed Effortlessly - Akufo Addo's Daughter

Sun, 18 Dec 2022 Source: Club Mate

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been getting a lot of "heat" from Ghanaians lately because many people blame him for the country's current economic problems.

In recent years, Ghana has had to deal with inflation, the devaluation of the cedi, price hikes, and debt, all of which have made the economy look pretty bad.

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has been blamed for poor management, but the president has also been blamed for keeping an eye on him and not getting rid of him despite what many have called obvious economic problems under his watch.

In the middle of all this, the President's daughter, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, had something to say. She disagrees with people who say her father isn't doing a good job.

JoyNews asked the CEO of the Creative Arts Agency, who is her daughter, what she thought of her father's work so far. Her answer was simple: "Stellar."

She says that her father has done better than expected in the face of these economic problems by making hard choices to keep the country stable.

She said, "Stellar!" and added, "I think a lot of people don't understand the pressures and responsibilities behind the scenes and the tolls it takes, but this is a leader who has taken it on with ease and has led the change that makes us all feel safe in these times of economic unrest. So, for me, and I'm sure a lot of people will say I'm biased, but a lot of people who know me know I'm not, I think he's taking us in a safe and steady direction," she said.
