In agonizing detail, Erick from Rwanda describes how his father tried to get rid of him when he was a newborn. He was born without legs and with just one arm. This outraged his father, who ever since that day has had a deep-seated loathing for him.
According to Erick, he was the third child born into a family of seven kids overall. Although his parents were able to have healthy children, only he was born without legs among his siblings. When he realized that his son had not been born with legs, his father was shocked.
He was shocked and told Erick's mother to dispose of him in the hospital's trash because he wasn't a fully formed human being.
This enraged his mother, and as a result, she disobeyed the orders she received. She chose to leave with the infant instead of leaving as her husband had instructed.
As a result, their relationship grew tense, and one night, while everyone was asleep, his father tried to cast him out onto the street. When his father came home, his mother learned that he was absent. Thankfully, she was able to catch up with him and stop his actions.
Erick revealed that his mother had decided to send him to live with his grandparents because she had come to the conclusion that he despised him.
She would pay him frequent visits there to check on his wellbeing and find out how he was doing. The place where he was raised is where he was raised, and one day his cousins told him what they knew about what his father had thought about doing.
He was shocked to learn that his father disowned him due of his impairment when he went to his parents' home to confront him. He made a promise to his grandparents that they would never talk to one another again as he returned to the home they shared.
After some time, I realized that my father detested me due of my disabilities. said Erick.
His father and he had a tense relationship that didn't improve over time, and they haven't spoken since. Because he was born without legs, in contrast to his brothers, he said that his father detested him and hated him. He added that his father didn't like him as a result of this.
He currently plays football for the squad that represents his village and is steady. He recently joined a group of artists that also taught him how to draw.
He was able to establish a life for himself thanks to this business, and he is no longer had to rely on begging on the streets.
He has exhorted individuals to value who they are despite of their circumstances and to look past their disabilities. He has also advised parents to raise their children in the same way as the rest of their children and to accept them precisely as they are.
