My Husband Is Too Religious & It Is Affecting Our Marriage

Fri, 13 Jan 2023 Source: Club Mate

I am a religious person. I was raised in a religious home, I went to a religious school, and I have continued to practice my faith as an adult. I am not alone. There are billions of people around the world who identify as religious. And while there are many different types of religious beliefs, most religious people have one thing in common: they believe in God.

My husband is also religious. We both come from religious families and we both identify as religious people. We both believe in God. But we have a big difference in our religious beliefs.

I believe in a God who is loving and kind. I believe that God wants us to be happy and to have joy in our lives. I believe that God wants us to love one another and to help each other.

My husband believes in a God who is angry and judgmental. He believes that God wants us to be miserable and to suffer. He believes that God wants us to hate each other and to be punished.

These different religious beliefs are causing a big rift in our marriage. My husband is too religious and it is affecting our marriage.

I love my husband and I want our marriage to work. But I can't continue to be with someone who believes in a God that is so different from the God that I believe in. I am not happy with this situation and I don't know what to do.

My husband has always been a religious person, but his faith has become more important to him in recent years, to the point where it is now affecting our marriage. He is so devout that he doesn't want to do anything that doesn't please God, including spending time with me. He's also become very critical of me, always pointing out how I'm not living up to his religious standards. I've tried talking to him about this, but he doesn't seem to want to listen. I'm not sure what to do anymore.
