NDC Took Us To ‘Akonfem’ Age; NPP Has Taken Ghana To Digital Age - Bawumia

In a recent rally at Kumawu, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their remarkable efforts in digitalizing Ghana and highlighted the positive impact it has had on the country. In contrast, he criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their failure to bring about digital transformation and humorously referred to them as a party that took Ghana back to the 'akonfem' age.

Vice President Bawumia proudly showcased the NPP's achievements in digitizing the economy. He emphasized that Ghanaians can now conveniently renew their National Health Insurance using their phones—a task that was impossible during the NDC's regime. He further highlighted the NPP's accomplishments by mentioning the introduction of purchasing prepaid credit from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), which was unheard of during the NDC-led administration of former President John Mahama.

Addressing the issue of fuel prices in the Ghanaian market, Vice President Bawumia celebrated the fact that Ghana now benefits from gold revenue from the oil sector, resulting in a reduction in fuel prices.

In conclusion, Vice President Bawumia lauded the NPP for propelling Ghana into the digital age through their digitalization initiatives, while playfully contrasting it with what he perceives as the NDC's failure to achieve the same level of progress.
