Nothing is going to stop us now – Ablakwa declares

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the North Tongu Member of Parliament, feels encouraged to continue exposing issues with the National Cathedral following the dismissal of a contempt suit filed against him by Rev Victor Kusi Boateng, the Secretary to the Trustees of the project. An Accra High Court dismissed the suit, stating that the evidence presented by the plaintiff failed to meet the legal standard of proof.

In an interview with Media General's Laud Adu-Asare, Ablakwa expressed that he has been inspired to do what is in the national interest. He believes that the outcome of the case has removed distractions that hinder his efforts to expose the "shenanigans" involved with the project. He stated that the dismissal of the case has given him and his team more impetus, verve, and drive to continue doing what is right.

Ablakwa also made it clear that he will continue to resist the construction of the cathedral because of the sacrilege it has been associated with. He described the project as the most reckless, corrupt, and ungodly ever, which is being done in the name of God. He believes that it is really sacrilegious and blasphemous and they will continue to resist the project and expose nothing but the truth.
