On Thursday, a tragic incident unfolded as the body of the 10th child was discovered. It was a devastating outcome after a boat carrying school children capsized on Wednesday, May 10. The children, aged between 3 and 13, were on their way from Faana to Kelee in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. Previously, the bodies of nine children had been recovered and taken to the morgue at Korle Teaching Hospital. The search for the remaining child came to an end on Thursday morning, thanks to the efforts of concerned individuals who were determined to find the missing child.
The entire town is engulfed in grief and mourning following this devastating incident. The loss of these young lives has deeply impacted the community, leaving its residents devastated and saddened.
