A fatal accident on the Kasoa-Cape Coast Highway in the Central Region has claimed the life of one person at Gomoa Anteadze.
About 23 others were reportedly injured in the collision involving three vehicles on Monday afternoon.
Three of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
Nana Sekyi, an eyewitness, told Adom News that the driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander with registration number GB 4415 -22, who was travelling from Accra to Cape Coast, made a wrong overtaking manoeuvre and rammed into the side of a Toyota Fish with registration number GW 8017 -19.
The driver of the Mitsubishi also hit a Hyundai i10 that was following the Toyota Fish.
The injured are all being treated at the St Luke's Catholic Hospital in Apam, according to Abdallah Ibrahim, the Apam Operating Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service.
