According to a recent survey by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), four out of every five workers in the public sector make less than GH₵3000.
533,179 of the 688,000 people working for the government make less than GH₵3000.
This is equivalent to 80% of the overall workforce.
According to a recent report titled "Ghana 2022 Earnings: Inequality in the Public Sector," 20,606 people earn between GH₵5000 and GH₵9999, compared to 104,349 people who earn between GH₵3000 and GH₵4999.
According to the data, 6,225 persons make more than GH₵10,000.
