The body of the Texas woman whose husband is said to have cut off her head was found in a pool of blood near their bed, and her head was in the shower.
Waller County Sheriff Troy Guidry said that Anggy Diaz's body was found on Wednesday at her home near the town of Magnolia, which is northwest of Houston.
Police say that Jared James Dicus, who was 21 and had just married Diaz, also 21, in October, told them that he killed her.
According to court documents cited by Fox 26 Houston, Diaz was found on the floor with multiple stab wounds in her back, and police found "what appeared to be the victim's head" in the shower.
Guidry said that when the body was found, Dicus's father called the police right away.
"The suspect's husband talked to them, and when they felt like something wasn't right, they went to where they lived and found what they found," he said.
The knife that was used in the terrible crime has also been found.

"Everything took place on the land. And every piece was found and turned in as evidence," Guidry said.
On a chilling security video, Dicus calmly walks into the Chepes meat market where his wife worked, takes a beer, and then drinks it outside.
The victim's friend told The Post last week that Diaz had told her friend that her husband was a jealous person.
"He put a video on social media that said, 'She is mine.' It was strange because no one questioned that... The friend, who asked not to be named, said, "It came out of nowhere."

Guidry said, "There have been other calls about disturbances, but nothing like this or this violent."
