Nicodemus Dianata, a police Lance Corporal with the Koforidua District Police Command in the Eastern Region, quit his job in 2016 to campaign for Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party. He now seems to have second thoughts about his choice.
Nicodemus Dianata is having a hard time financially and is depressed, and there are threats on his life.
A year after the NPP took power, Dianata was hired as a National Security Operative at a rank that was much lower than his rank in the police service. He complained about this, but it didn't change anything.
After the party won the 2020 election, it is said that his contract with National Security was not renewed.
Nicodemus Dianata took to social media a few days ago to vent his anger. He said that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and some bigwigs of the party from the Northern region were to blame for his problems.
“Dr Bawumia have you seen your life? Your Northern brother Nicodemus left the Police in 2016 to campaign for you and after you won power you and some Northern brothers and sisters conspired to deny me a job and want to frustrate me to die. Those conspirators were Alhaji Short, who was the Regional Chairman of the Upper West Region, Ambrose Dery, the Interior minister, Rita Asobayire, the First National Vice Chair Person of the NPP and others” He explained.
“Nicodemus God is now fighting for him. Massive disgrace and sickness awaits you as you have succeeded destroying the NPP in the North. Alhaji Short is now down on stroke, Bawumia’s political carrier has now been soiled. If you don’t apologise for me to forgive you from my heart you will never find peace and NPP will be destroyed forever because I used my blood for you to win power in 2016. I will also urge President Akufo Addo to invite me and listen to my side of the story.”
“I am now suffering from acute stomach ulcer, High Blood pressure and had Heart Attack last year but was saved by Doctors all because of frustration by the Akufo Addo led government. I am even not asking for much. I am not saying you should give me a DCE or a minister just a job and I started begging you from 2017 up to date. Are you a serious political party?” Nicodemus sadly quizzed.
Nicodemus wish he gets asylum to leave the country as he claims his life is under threat due to his fearless utterances challenging the status quo.
