Residents of Adakope, a fishing village near Dambai in the Oti Region, tried to get a police rescue team that was there to save children who had been trafficked out of their village.

On Wednesday, people were burning tires and making threats to set people on fire. This led to an incident.

In Adakope, police were given a hot chase when they tried to save children who had been trafficked.

Residents throw rocks at the vehicle of the task force as a fire burns in the bush.

The 17 police officers went to the community on the edge of Lake Volta to save 21 children who were being forced to fish in dangerous ways.

When police tried to save children who had been trafficked, the community in Adakope became very angry.
