The people who follow a Lesotho prophet in Harare are upset with him because he made a wrong prediction about the World Cup final on Sunday.
Prophet Tinashe Michael Sello of Christ Celebration International Ministries told people in his congregation who bet to put their money on France.
He said that France would win the World Cup by beating Argentina 1-0.
France and Argentina were tied 3-3 after extra time, but Argentina won 4-2 on penalties.
His followers have started to wonder where he gets his ideas.
Prophet Sello, who calls himself The Ultimate, can be heard in a video going around social media telling people who want to bet that Argentina would play a defensive game, but France would break through and score before parking the bus and winning the final.
Yesterday, there were reports that Prophet Sello had shut down his church after his embarrassingly wrong prediction.
Some of his church members are now threatening to leave because of his false prediction.
Yesterday, when H-Metro called the prophet to ask about his wrong prediction, his personal assistant wouldn't say who she was and demanded US$300 as a consultation fee or that H-Metro attend his Saturday church service at Kingstone House on Kwame Nkrumah Avenue.
She said, "Prophet is in a meeting right now."
"If you live in Harare, come to church on Saturday, but if you want to see him in person, come to our office in Southerton and pay US$300 to make a reservation."
When she found out it was H-Metro, the woman said she would call back after talking to Prophet Sello.
She later said that she couldn't get in touch with Prophet Sello and promised to tell her about the next church service.
"You can't reach Prophet right now, but he'll call you as soon as he can.
"I'll let you know about the church services on Saturday," she said.
