Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has shared his thoughts on the recent controversy involving Prof. Frimpong Boateng, who accused some high-ranking government officials of being involved in illegal mining, also known as galamsey. Ampaw likened Frimpong Boateng to former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu, who frequently writes critical letters about people he disagrees with.
Speaking on ‘Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem’ show which airs on Wontumi TV, Ampaw suggested that Frimpong Boateng's recent actions have caused him to become bitter, like Amidu. When people are unhappy, they often write in a manner that reflects their pain, which is evident in Amidu's letters.
Ampaw went on to say that despite Frimpong Boateng's impressive credentials and accomplishments, his report on galamsey is not worth considering, as it appears to be based on hearsay and personal bias. In Ampaw's view, the report paints Frimpong Boateng as a "bitter person."
Overall, Ampaw expressed his disappointment with Frimpong Boateng's recent behavior and called on Ghanaians to disregard the report as it lacks credibility.
