Remember The Lawyer Who Sued Israel And Italy For "Killing Jesus Christ"?

Christians frequently anticipate Easter with great enthusiasm and preparation. Easter represents Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead for the nearly 70 million Christians who reside in Africa and other parts of the world.

A Kenyan attorney fought for justice for Jesus Christ in 2013, claiming that his trial and crucifixion more than 2,000 years prior were illegal.

Former Kenyan judicial spokeswoman Dola Indidis requested that Jesus' conviction and death sentence be overturned from the International Court of Justice (ICC), which has its headquarters in The Hague.

In the complaint he submitted to the ICC, he named defendants such as Pontius Pilate, King Herod, the former Emperor of Rome, and the states of Israel and Italy, according to Kenyan media.

Indidis told Standard Media, "I filed the complaint because it's my responsibility to preserve the dignity of Jesus, and I have gone to the ICJ to seek justice for the man from Nazareth. Through judicial malpractice, abuse of authority, partiality, and prejudice, his selective and malicious prosecution violated his human rights.

Jesus Christ was allegedly detained by Jewish authorities for blasphemy after performing miracles and claiming to be the son of God, according to the New Testament. Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea at the time, was presented with Jesus. Pilate sent him to King Herod after informing the Jewish rulers that he lacked the authority to hear the case. Jesus was returned to Pilate by Herod.

Jesus was exonerated on all counts. But when Jewish mobs demanded his execution, Pilate was forced to have him crucified alongside two criminals.

According to the Daily Mail, Indidis' case questioned the "method of interrogation employed during Jesus' trial; the punishments meted out to Him while proceedings were still in progress; and the substance of the information used to convict him."

His wish was for the court to determine that "the proceedings before the Roman courts were a nullity in law for they did not correspond to the rule of law at the material time and any time thereafter."

He claimed that some of the audience members spat in his face, punched him in the face, slapped him, made fun of him, and declared him deserving of death. Indidis continued by saying that he includes contemporary governments in the lawsuit because of their historical connections to the Roman Empire. Indidis told Kenya's Citizen TV that "the government for whom they acted still is liable for their act." Pontius Pilate served as a representative of the Caesar-led Roman government.

The Bible contains evidence from today, and you cannot refute the Bible, according to Indidis.

The Kenyan attorney thought he had a strong argument and used Joan of Arc's trial as proof that his request had been granted in the past. Peasant girl Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. A papal committee overturned the jury's decision in her case years after she passed away. Indidis said, "Jesus had the same situation. "The judge who sentenced him claimed he lacked jurisdiction to handle the case, but under duress he proceeded to convict and impose a death sentence."

Legal experts claimed that the Kenyan lawyer was facing an uphill struggle since the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which was established to settle disputes between states, lacks jurisdiction in the case. Media reports state that's exactly what took place. After his 2007 suit to a Nairobi court was denied, Indidis turned to the ICJ.
