Beautiful Ntokozo was fatally stabbed in her home by her boyfriend. The alarmingly high rate of physical assault and violence against women in the country demands immediate and aggressive action to bring it down to an absolute minimum.

Ntokozo Mayenzi Xaba, a 20-year-old woman, was reportedly fatally stabbed by her boyfriend in her student flat in Ekhaya Junction, Pretoria, on 2 February 2023.
The boyfriend first tried to call her to see if she was home, but her line was busy. He caught her using a different strategy. The perpetrator has been arrested and is likely to go to jail.
She was a third-year student at TUT Tshwane University of Technology. What will her parents think? How will they deal with such a mess?
