Today, five schoolchildren between the ages of 4 and 12 were buried at Adrobaa in the Ahafo Region's Tano North Municipality.
Last week, a terrible accident occurred when the five (5) kids' school bus somersaulted on the Adrobaa-Terchire road.
Chiefs, parents, students, and the Member of Parliament for the Area, Hon. Freda Prempeh, all attended the mass funeral that was held at Adrobaa this morning.
When the children's remains were brought to the funeral ground, the entire Adrobaa community was plunged into grief, mourning, and tears, along with wailing and lamentations.
To carry out its final funeral rites, one of the remains was transported by the relatives to the family home.
You may remember that on Friday of last week, a school bus carrying students from Terchire to Adrobaa in the Ahafo Region crashed, instantly killing 5 children, including the bus driver.
The names of the deceased include: Agyeiwaa Twumasi Ruby, 12, Tutu Enoch, 4, Okyere Bernard, 8, Russell Ameyaw, 4, and Ngyemaa, 6.
